Hello everyone, and Happy Pride Month!!
Each year, Pride is celebrated to honor the LGBTQIA+ community – raising visibility and championing validity. Pride is celebrated in June because of the Stonewall Riots, a series of protests and riots in June of 1969 that were in response to unethical raids of gay bars and clubs. Their bravery in taking a stand is largely considered to be the dawn of the modern LGBTQIA+ rights movement, and we continue to celebrate Pride in June as a result.
This month, we wanted to offer an opportunity to learn more about our diverse LGBTQIA+ community through a fun scavenger hunt! We have hidden 13 different Pride flag hearts around /Explore, each representing a portion of the LGBTQIA+ community. Your mission is to find all 13, collect a token from each, and then place them all in a chest to claim your prize! Simply modreq by the chest so that a staff member can verify your tokens and write down your name.
The deadline for completion modreqs is 11:59 p.m. Eastern on June 12th. Prizes will be awarded after the update, so don’t have to worry about not being able to transfer them to the new map!
